Gotta give big thanks to my husband Dave - I love you. He has tried to beat into me the whole eating right makes you feel better for years, do you think I listened? Nope. For whatever reason I decided to give the Whole9 a whirl and am soooo happy I did. I have definetely changed the way I eat and feel 100% better for it. I never would have believed if I did not stick to the plan for the full 30 days. If you're thinking of doing the whole9, You Have Got to COMMIT for the full 30 days.
I hit a rough patch at the end of week two I began to reconsider, have doubts, felt like just eating a pizza and milkshake - BUT I didn't and I made it to the other end. Goal achieved.
30 days is not forever, you will not realize the little aches and pains you live with daily until they are not there anymore. When the 30 is up, you can then decide what it is that you want to reintroduce. Your body will tell you almost instantly if it's worth it to consume whatever it was that you thought you were missing.
You and your health is definetely worth 30 days, really what do you have to lose? How's the same ole same old been working for you? Not? Then to get a different reaction/outcome you have to try something different. give it a try

Shelly,
You look great! I'm soooo glad that you decided to give the 30 a whirl. I'm glad I did too, I never thought I'd ever agree to something that seemed so strict. Once I got into it I realized it was not that strict ~ there are so many different foods to choose from. Congrats on completing! The fam will follow soon, keep up the great work.

I feel really good and I am not going to vary from the Whole 30 too much. I will as Dave wrote go 100 percent and might have one cheat meal or whatever you want to call it. The Whole 30 really changed my outlook on food, I sleep better, feel better and some of my workouts are better. Yes, I still like to talk alot while I working out but to me thats part of the fun of working out with FRIENDS :). Now the hard part comes into to play trying to get the family to do it. I will slowy implant the Whole 30 with them and hopefully they will have the same feelings that I have. Thank you Dave and Lisa soooooo much it has changed the way I see and feel about food :). This was my ah ha moment!!!!!!!

I never had a love of Diet Cokes...I went for the real thing. Regular Coke for me! I miss my morning tea (can't do it without the Splenda) and my Cokes but realize now how easy it is to survive without them. I agree that I also don't get the afternoon crash like I used to...even if my sleep is less than optimal the night before. It's really amazing what a healthy diet can do!

I LOVE(d) Diet Coke, too, especially with a Snickers or a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Funny how that works. In the last 29 days, though, with no extra sugars or artificial sweeteners in my diet, my blood sugar/insulin levels have improved dramatically. I no longer experience the dramatic and scary drops in blood sugar that made me grab the first food I could get in my mouth - usually that Snickers or QPwCh, with a DC of course!
